From Good To Outstanding series 4 - interactive!
2 x 30 min. Teachers TV.
Our successful on-going series, looking at how teachers can move from being 'good' to becoming 'outstanding', continues to be one of TTV's most popular programmes.
This time, the series has gone interactive, with the key lessons that Inspector Clare Gillies observes being uploaded onto the TTV website for discussion and debate. The final edited programmes, including our Inspector's final verdicts, will be shown at the times below:
From Good To Outstanding - Esther Arnott:
Mon 13 April 2009: 0700, 1600, 2000
Secondary History teacher Esther Arnott takes her year 7s through their paces exploring the impact of William of Normandy on the English. The question is, can she take her already good teaching up the next notch and become 'outstanding'? With specialist CPD help from History Advisor Michael Riley and communications expert Ulrika Schulte-Baukloh, we watch Esther try and raise her game.
From Good To Outstanding - James Evelyn:
Tues 14 April 2009: 0700, 1600, 2000
James is a good teacher at Southwold Primary School - and he wants to be even better. His maths lesson for a year 3 and 4 class is focused on data handling, and Inspector Clare Gillies points out some clear areas for improvement. He then gets some specialist CPD help from mathematics consultant Andrew Jeffrey and communications coach Ulrika Schulte-Baukloh - and aims for an 'outstanding' verdict.
