Flashback TV is proud to have been producing programmes for TTV since its start in 2004. In fact, in the last five years we’ve produced over 260 programmes for them – about 90 hours of television - and our on-going series 'From Good To Outstanding' is regularly one of the most watched programmes on the Channel. Our TTV programmes have won a number of awards, including RTS (win and nominations), the Japan Prize (twice) and recently an International Emmy nomination for our acclaimed documentary series filmed in Palestine, 'Two Schools in Nablus'.

We have worked in schools all over the UK as well as in the US, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. In the UK we work closely with all the main education agencies at the highest levels, as well as a huge range of specialist experts. We have filmed regionally in over 150 schools with more than 450 teachers and 145 experts.

Our team of experienced education producers work over a range of subject areas, from observational documentaries about wide ranging education issues to programmes exploring specific aspects of a single lesson. We’ve made programmes exploring various roles in schools and specific issues of assessment, personalized learning and the Every Child Matters initiative. We’ve featured innovative teaching assistants as well as human rights lawyer Cherie Booth QC. We’ve spent a term following two primary NQTs (newly qualified teachers) as well as a term with an experienced History teacher. We’ve shown teachers how they can keep fit and healthy as well as ways to work with children experiencing family break-up. We’ve featured a huge range of contributors including some big names in the education world and we can even count Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Mathai amongst our contributors.

Our award-winning team members are highly regarded for observational techniques as well as excellent use of drama and creativity in programmes and also for delivering top production values on very tight budgets.

On this site you'll find some of our programmes being transmitted soon. These are first transmission dates only – the channel does multiple repeats within the weeks following these dates and the programmes then become available to download from their website www.teachers.tv
